Default Yamaha Warrior 350 Intake boot?

I put a new intake boot on my warrior not even 2 years ago and it looks to be going bad already. Has anyone else had this problem? The old one I took off was broken in half. This one I put on was brand new it has cracking on it already. It is not broken but looks like it is on its way. What do you think? Thx

thats common, is anyting holding your carb still besides the boot because the vibrations from the carb cause it to crack

motor mounts are good. I will just keep a eye on it. the boot that was on there looked to be from 1987 so I thought the new one would last longer. And this quad reall hasn't been rode very much it is just a extra one that my kids ride and they ride it slow. thx guys

never thought twice about really looking at mine, i've got an 03 and assuming mines original i never noticed any cracking on it, and i've had the carb off to give it a good cleaning, sounds like some bad mounts somewhere, either the engine or the air box.

Check to make sure you have mounted the intake tube correctly, it has a slight angle to it, and if put in backwards, will put strain on the rubber mid section and engine vibration can cause early failure, I've had mine on my Wolverine since 95 (same motor/carb as you) with no problems. There is a little arrow cast into the rubber, it should point up as you look at it from the left side of the machine. The flanges will bolt up either way, so it would not be hard to get it wrong, but the extra angle could put strain on when you tighten everything down and put the carb/airbox boot on, which would have to pull it down slightly to line up,flexing the middle rubber part.

It is on right. It was a aftermarket one from ebay I am sure that has something to do with it!

I was just going to do a post asking if the replacement you bought was
OEM or aftermarket.
I had the same issue a couple years back when replacing an orriginal boot on my sled, now the 2 year old aftermarket one looks like its shot already.

Yes now we know why people sell them so cheap on ebay! Mine is not bad yet but it is cracking way too soon. I know I will have to change it sometime this next year. Good chatting...thx
