raptor 350 fueling problem
whats up guys.. my buddy and I was out hitting the trails hard. There was a decent incline and it was staight so we were rolling pretty good, he was in 5th and running close to wide open when it just cut out. It wouldnt start, left it sit a bit and still nothing. There was around a half tank, I switched it over to reserve and it started after a few turn overs. runs fine. Im wondering if the wide open throttle and the incline kicked the fuel off the regular line and it was starving... but how can that be when its nearly half full of gas? any insight?

Doesn't really sound like a fuel problem. The Warriors/Raptor 350's had a bad problem with the wires rubbing the frame and shorting out in the rear left side under the left fender. The wires wrap around the frame and over time will wear the wire down to the copper. If the wrong wire shorts to the frame, you lose spark. I would check that first.

Sounds like maybe the petcock isnt big enough to keep the carb full, I had a similar problem with my Wolverine 350, I could run it all day, no problem, but if I hit a long straight away at full throttle, it ran fine, then would just fade out and die like you had shut the fuel off. It would coast to a stop, then restart after sitting a few seconds, I assume I had run the carb empty with the long full throttle run, and it took a few seconds to refill.
