Default 04 Breeze Slippage, Oil on V-Belt

Greetings,

I'm new to the forum and am seeking help. My son's 2004 Breeze started losing power going up the slightest incline. The engine would rev, no power and some funky smell and smoke. After a little online searching and very little info I pulled the left side cover to see what I think is tranny oil in that compartment and on the belt. Its certainly darker than the engine oil anyway unless there was som old engine oil in there prior to recent oil change. Should there be ol in there and on the belt? Smething tells me not. Any suggestions of a next course of corrective action would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

There should be no oil on the belt or in the belt housing.
