2004 Bruin Motor Replacement
My bruin 350 4x4 died a few months back. Took the motor out and basically found that the piston, wrist pin and rod are shot. The cylinder will need to be replaced but the head looks ok.
Instead of rebuilding this one, I thought I could find a used motor that I could use instead of rebuilding this one. I have been watching Ebay but have not really found any.
Does anyone have any place to look besides ebay for a replacement motor?
Are there any motors from different models that can fit into the buin?
Any suggestions would be great.

If you look in the back of some of the industry rags there are usually a couple of atv boneyards advertising. You could always rebuild the motor yourself if you are looking to save money. Invest in a good shop manual or two, indulge in a few specialty tools and have at it. You could potentially have a fresh motor for not much more than the cost of someone else s' worn out junker. Besides that it doesn't cost much more to go with an overbored higher compression piston and get a little more oomph.

I don,t think any changes where done on the 350 Briun/Grizzlies so any year should work ,if that helps widen your search options. The frist 2004 bruin is unchanged from the current 2013 350 Grizzly buy the looks of this link. 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 350 Auto. 4x4 ATVs
