Is it worth it?
First of all this is my first post.. So hello everyone!
I received word that my wife's cousin has a 1995 Yamaha Moto4 350 atv just sitting in his yard that he is wanting to get rid of. I talked him down to 300 dollars on it and it needs new tires (a buddy of mine has a set that will go on it he is going to give me) a new ignition switch, brake lines, fuel line and the cabr needs cleaning. The plastic looks to be in pretty good shape and there is a little rust on the foot pegs and the racks on the front and back... I can sand that out and repaint so its not a big deal to me. This is stuff he told me he needs replaced and fixed. He said he can get it to fire up and he can put some air in the tires to ride it around so i can make sure the transmission shifts good and everything. My question is, if I get on it and It runs good would it be worth the 300 dollars? This will be my first atv purchase and I can't really afford much more than the 300 right now to put on one that is ready to hit the trails.
Thanks in advance!
Chris

Welcome to the forums.
If it fires up and runs, 300 is not a bad price. I've seen ones that didn't run and the owners were asking for more than that.
Tires can be expensive, so if you've got someone giving you as set, that's a plus. If you don't mind putting in a little wrench time, I'd say go for it.
