Neutral Switch on Yamaha

Neutral Switch on Yamaha
Hey all, was having an issue with the neutral switch on my bear tracker. Found that a previous owner had a problem with the wire connection, so they attached it to a screw on the frame.
I want my machine working like its supposed to, so I cut and stripped the mangled wire lead thats supposed to attach to the switch, and found that NAPA wire products sells a cigarette lighter connector, they call it a sending unit socket, part number 787147.
It attaches perfectly to the stud on the neutral switch, and is at a 90 degree angle so it's easy to keep it out of the way of the shifter. If your machine uses a similar switch and need a new wire, definately give it a try. It's only $2.62 at my local NAPA, much cheaper that the $10 after tax that my Yamaha dealer wanted for the original wire.
