YFM225S Clutch Help
OK, my quad is up and running beautifully, but there is some clutch trouble. I know little to nothing about a centrifugal clutch other than how it works, as far as components and exact functions of them i am lost. Here's the problem:
> This bike won't move
With some gentle throttle she'll gradually get moving as it should, although very slowly. Once mashing on the throttle...nothing. That's clutch slippage am I right? Now, I've adjusted the clutch as I should and no help. My main question here is using Synthetic oil, could that be my problem?
Finally, what would I need to replace if this clutch is bad...typically? Friction discs, i know that much...but what about the clutch plates as well? What parts of the clutch typically give in this situation...there's a ton of parts and I'm not going to be happy if I have to hundreds on something I don't absolutely need.
