Default blaster plastics

i have always wanted to build a race quad and i figure i should start with a blaster because they are very cheap bikes.

anyway the 2004 and up years are more expensive than the older ones but the plastics on the older ones are not very tough looking

if i buy an old blaster would the new style plastics fit it?

There are a few differences in the 88-02 years and the 03-06 years. The 03-06 has hydraulic front and rear brakes, different style front hoood, different style harness. There are some more minor odds and ends that do not swap directly between the years but 95% of the parts do. All engines and parts associated with the motor do swap. The plastics will swap between the years with just some minor brackets to be made to run the front hoods if they are from different years.Your best bet is to look for an 03-06 and start from there. You are most likely going to upgrade the brakes anyways if you want to build a race quad out of it.Blasters are great machines and partys are plentiful.
