Semi Auto Clutch Help
Ok, so I removed the cover and well, I'm lost. the piece called the "shift arm" connects to the "shift guide", but there seems to be no way for it to fit securely, does it just fit loosely? Here is a diagram:
1987 Yamaha YFM225 MOTO-4 OEM Shift Shaft Parts | MotoSport
I'm assuming the threaded part connected to it goes to the adjustment screw...which pushes the arm onto the push plate in the center of the clutch...but that piece doesn't seem to move inward at all. (bear with me, i might have messed up ) But, I rotated the clutch and housing assembly (piece to the right of the piece holding the clutch plates and friction plates..etc.) counter clockwise (hard to do and made a weird sound)...pretty sure now that that's NOT how it turns :/. But I don't know if that did any damage.
I just need help understanding what goes on with these parts and what may or may not be wrong. (clutch slipping). I'm just evaluating the situation and figuring out what needs replaced while I have it apart.
