Default replacing axle bearings

i bought a timberwolf 4x4 that had no rear differential, but it did have the axle. i managed to buy a rear differential on ebay and now after removing axle, i noticed that there is a bearing on right side of carrier (if you are standing behind bike). should there be a bearing on left side between where the differential bolts up a the actual differential itself? Also i have looked up the rear axle bearing kits on ebay, do these bearing replace the bearings i need or do they also include the ones that go into differential. any help is appreciated. thanks
