Raptor 660 Help !!!
So I received my HMF exhaust the other day, and installed it and it was WAY too loud ! So I sent it back and got my money back & put my stock pipe back on. Everybody says this was the wrong decision... But Im not the type to have a loud quad to look "Cool" because the cops in New Jersey are ********* ! But my question is should i ditch the stock exhaust for aftermarket or keep it ?? Bc i hate having too loud of a quad where i'll ruin it for everybody else, and have the cops on us 24/7. I'm just a casual weekend rider, nothing special.

The most quiet exhaust is going to be the factory. If you want to stay quiet, you'd be better to stick with that. You can get some exhaust that have a quiet core insert, but I'm sure they are still louder than the factory. I think the HMF has a quiet core, should've checked that out before you sent it back.

Yeah I know what you mean man, but going in the trails, you don't want to make too much noise, my friend said he heard my exhaust from literally a mile away & for trails i think its a little too much.. Most people say the louder the better, but I disagree, its just annoying and gets you into too much trouble with the surrounding houses calling cops. I think I may just stick with stock exhaust and call it a day.

Yeah the HMF do sound good but are loud. Where we ride here in NC it's really no big deal to have a loud exhaust, it doesn't really bother anybody. I had a Curtis Sparks exhaust on my 660 and they are louder than the HMF! If you want more power you could still do some things and still keep the factory exhaust.

Thanks guys, appreciate the input, I think for the riding I do and with houses nearby I'm just going to stick with the stock exhaust for now since its pretty quiet. I'm doing a full tune up this weekend on my Raptor, oil change, spark plug, air filter, lube chain, check brakes, and adjusting clutch if necessary. But my stock tires have 75-80% tread left, should i use these and wear them out or buy new tires now. I ride water, mud, dirt, rocks, hills, sand, all that kinda stuff and what is a tire you guys recommend for that riding in trails in those conditions that are relatively inexpensive. Thanks

Ok so I went to the dealership to pick up a spark plug this morning and I seen a brand new set of 2 ITP Holeshot tires laying down and the guy gave me a pretty good deal, $80 per tire so i went for it ! Now my question is, will my quad be fine running both stock FRONT tires with 8-% tread left and the 2 new ITP tires on the rear ?? Or would I need to get front tires as well ? Thanks

Mixing the new rears with current fronts is fine. Handling may get a bit wonky if you have gone from a 20" rear to a 22" but I doubt that is the case here. I actually would have recommended the GBC X-Rex rears for the terrain you listed and price. Holeshots are great tires to though. Did you get 6 ply?
