Default trying to find year and size of my moto4

trying to find the year and size of a moto4 bike that was given to me, i found where the serial number is on the frame just behind the left front tire, but it is rusted and i can only make out some of the numbers, on the right side of the motor it stamped 2400cm3, the bike is blue plastic and gold rims cable brakes, to me it looks like a 86 250cc but i need to know for sure so i can order a carb kit for it... ?????? any help will be appreciated

Welcome to the forums.

If you can make out the 10th digit on the vin#, that will tell you the year model. Not really familiar with that model, but hopefully someone who is can come along and give you a little more info on it.

ok i will check that..... do you think the 2400cm3 is the engine displacement? 240cc so would that be considered a 250cc?

They didn't make a 250 in 1986, just a 225. I think late 88 or 89 was when they started calling that a 250.

Those old 225's and likely the late 80's 250's had it on the side of the engine case. I think the 350's and some of the newer ones had it up on the fender.

My Moto 4 is a 95. The H/L/R shifter is on the top left by the steering bars.
