The first was the 1998 595cc air cooled from the Grizzly Derived from the XT600 motorcycle . Then the 401cc Kodak liquid cooled. Then the 660cc Grizzly (Not 660 Raptor 5 speed) then the tried and true 348cc air cooled from the bruin/Grizzly that is in many semi 5 speed autos like the Raptor/Warrior/ Wolverine/XT 350 bikes and 350 Big Bears. Then the 421cc liquid cooled Wolverine/Grizzly.
Then to our current 550/700 Grizzly.

Then we can talk Yamaha Snowmobile 4 and 2 stroke (All CVT Tranny motors) and go on and on since 1972 and up.

Pretty well 90% of all ATVs of any brand are CVT full autos.

The would be to much work even when you put a motor in with a primary clutch then you would have to mod the ATV for the secondary.
Might as well sell it and find a used 350 /450 Grizzly/Bruin or 400 Kodiak..

Just curious why you don't like the semi-auto? IMO a semi-auto is more rugged and you never have to worry about burning up a belt out in the middle of nowhere. Plus, I like the fact you know that if you put it in any given gear it's gonna stay in that gear if you lug it or not. The "mushy" throttle response also turns me off from the CV units.

The plan is to change the engine in my utv from theb jainshe js400 engine to a larger automatic. I use the tv to teach kids 8-14 how to drive. Some kids dont get the shifting concept. The automatic would solve that as well as eliminate the blown engines do to excessive overreving. In 7 weeks I rebuilt 15 of the 26 utvs that we have.
