Default 2003 Wolverine carb problems

Hello, I'm new. Wondering if I could pick some of your brains about the problem I'm having with my 2003 wolverine. I traded a snowmobile for it and have yet to hear it run great. When I got it didnt riun worth beans so I ordered a stock carb rebuild kit. Also it smoked bad so I tossed a new aftermarket cylinder, piston and rings at it. I got everything back together and it now idles but dies with any more than ⅛ throttle. I pulled the needle jet out and lowered the clip one click (from stock on the third space from the bottom?) to the second from the bottom. Nothing. Checked timing, Checked float and e brake switch wires and still nothing. All jets seem to be free and clear. Air needle is 2 turns out from gently seated. I haven't checked my diaphragm yet for pin holes but that seems as though thats the only thing left. Anybody have any thoughts?
Thanks for any help,
Joseph

Have you checked your valve adjustment? Also could be a carb float adjustment issue. Maybe not enough fuel in the bowl?
