About to buy a grizzly
Hi Everyone. New member, first post.
I've settled for the most part on a new 2014 Grizzly 700 EPS in Realtree HD.
Adding a wench and snow plow as well.
I'm pre approved but was hoping to get some advice on price negotiation. Everything I have is MSRP based and I'm not sure what the markup is and what's reasonable. Also, I don't want to buy used.
The numbers are 9949.00 base, plus about 1100.00 in freight, setup & doc, then another 1300.00ish for wench/plow/install. Add taxes, etc.
I'm putting down 1200 - 2000 depending on how I feel that day.
Is asking for 1000.00 reasonable? More? Less?
I figure dealer price is somewhere around 6600ish.
Thanks for any guidance.
Ian

Welcome to the forums Ian.
You've chosed a fine machine (most are these days).
I'd say do your homework. I'm of the opinion that retail is too high on any of them.
Google, call anywhere and everywhere. I'd bet there are deals out there to save you a bunch.
Yakaz.com (got from google) I punched in "new 700 grizzley 700 for sale". They got oodles of leads from east to west. I see a new 2013 700 1 mile, new, in camo...I SEE A ROAD TRIP?? hehe...
As far as 10k, start low and work up. Tell them you watch the antique pickers show.
www.grizzlycentral.com those guys may be able to help.

My local dealer won't budge on price at all, they will let you walk out for $300 on a $13,000 machine! It never hurts to try to talk them down, start at $1,000 off and work your way from there. Walk out if you have to and come back later and maybe they will be willing to negotiate. I have seen some super deals on new 2013 models so keep your eye out for those deals.
