Default Kodiak 400 tires

Hello.. New member here. I have a 1997 Kodiak 400 4x4 and love it. I currently have 25 inch bear claws on and want something bigger for more ground clearance. I was wanting 28 inch zillas. Would my quad be able to handle this big of tires? Thanks

I would say that would be to big of a jump for the 386cc. That's the same motor I have in my 350 Grizzly but with a longer stroke.
I was lucky I got away with 26", I sure would not wanted any larger.

Is there anyway I can get a little bit more ground clearance?

You will notice even 26" will help and give your ATV a beefier look . But there is not much you can do with a straight axle for a big increase in ground clearance.

I've got a 450 kodiak with 26" on it and wouldn't think it would work when in a turn and in a big bump. Also I would think their would be an off balance and safety factor plus you'd also loose a lot of power and I can't help you on that one.
