1988 Moto 4 Suspension
I need to replace the shocks on my Moto4 350 and can't seem to find anything that I would trust for less than a couple hundred bucks. I'm not wanting to spend more on the suspension that I did on the quad. Does anyone know if there are interchangeable shocks that are easier to find? I've found some warrior shocks and raptor shocks that look like they would fit, but not sure of the stroke and overall length of these shocks. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what will work, but the length is very important. Also the valving is engineered to work with the leverage on the quad that it was designed for, so if the a-arms are longer than on your Moto-4, the shocks may be too stiff for your quad. There are places that rebuild shocks, but it usually costs a couple hundred dollars for each shock.
I put a Raptor 660 shock on the back of my Tri-Z because my original shock was toast, you can't find original shocks that arent toast, and I got a deal on the Raptor shock. The Tri-Z comes with the same as a rear Warrior shock. Anyway, the Raptor shock was only a few inches longer but it caused all kinds of problems and rode and handled like crap.

I understand that the length has to be almost identical, I also understand that the stroke and dampening of the shock are important. unfortunately, I can't find anywhere that has the specs for the current shocks and I'm not even 100% sure that the shock on this thing are the original. I'm simply trying to find something that will work and be relatively close to original. I paid 600 for the quad and new shocks that I've found are 250 a piece. I dont' want to pay that much for a quad that old and don't want to go get a new quad at this point in time.

If your shopping for used parts try looking under Big Bear parts.
A 350 Moto4 is the same as a Big Bear and the Big Bear had no major changes until 1994.
So look for pre 94 Big Bear. Not sure but the newer big bear shocks may also work.
The big Bear name is just more common then Moto4 when part searching.
