Default Kodiak cooling fan

My fan quit on my 2000 kodiak 400 4x4. $467 at the dealer. Anybody have experience with other aftermarket fans? Which company is best? Other than Yamaha...

My fan went out on my 2001 500 Polaris and the dealer wanted $380! I bought a $80 Spal fan from here. Advanced Sport Vehicles SPAL ATV FANS - SPAL FANS Spal Authorized Distributor, Performance Parts And Accessories they come in different Dia. so your size should be there.

It worked great for me since "Spal" made my OEM fan as well so all the holes lined up and it was a 20 min swap job.
That was 5 year ago and it still going good.

You may or may not have to do this trick as well. http://www.raptorforum.com/forums/80...an-owners.html

If worst comes to worst these guys have your OEM fan for $377 which is still crazy. http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...00&fveh=189186

What pi##ed me off about the Dealer was the OEM fan they wanted to sell me for $380 was the exact Brand, and model number as the fan I bought for $85.

I thought I was getting a aftermarket fan for $85 but it turned out to be the OEM fan because Spal was Polaris fan supplier in 2001.

Here is a direct bolt on for your ATV for 136$ in case the Spal needs some moding to fit. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...n-Motor?v=1665

Thanks for that link. It looks about the same as the SPAL I bought. I don't think either one has the correct mounting holes but if that's all I have to deal with then I'll be okay. I think I'll have to switch the pigtail as well but he said that wouldn't void the warranty on the fan so... Thanks again pal.
