i have a 96 warrior i got for the lady and it needed the top end rebuilt. bought everything and still waiting on some parts. came to find out it didnt have the header so i browsed around found one on ebay but it is a 89 warrior. i was wondering if 89-04 were any differences? i hear they did a few upgrades from 87-89 on the frame and a few other things but motor wise did this change?

any help or info would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

 

Find one of the on-line parts lists and check the part numbers for years 96 and 89, if the numbers are the same you are sorted, if not, the header may not fit.

 

okay thanks i will try that now. and will post back with the findings for possible other people wondering.

 

okay well seems to be all years of warrior 87-2004 all seem to have the same part number which is 1Uy-14611-00. so im assuming that they are all interchangeable. once i get the header pipe in the mail i will report back and confirm if it has or has not worked for me.

 

89 was the first year of the second gen. All headers including raptor 350 will fit. However, I've come to notice that sometimes you'll get a header pipe that's about an inch short for some reason and I can't find a correlation with years
