Yamaha 225cc Tri Moto .. starting problems
Hi,
I specifically didn't say what I had because I know it's a ATV page and people will probably ignore three wheelers.
Anyways, I have a 1984 yamaha 225dx three wheeler. It's not in good shape and I'm doing a quick restoring job on it
When I got it, it hadn't run for three years and I pushed it down the hill and it fired right up, now it pull starts okay but runs horribly after a week of use. Stalling bogging etc, I have no idea why and need help, on another note. When it was running fine after a half hour of use it starting acting with the symptoms it has now.
Any help would be APRECIATED.

Three wheelers are ATVs, just not Quads, though you should be in the Yam section, we are not too fussy about who posts anyway. Some sediment or condensation in the fuel tank has probably got into the carburettor. Remove the carb and clean it out, blow the jets out with compressed air if you can. A new plug and a contact breaker clean (if it has them) won't hurt either.

Here's a thread with some info related to YFM225 (quad) carb problems. Your 225 trike engine and carb may be pretty similar.
