Hi all
got a 94 big bear, it wont stay running without the choke, nor will it start without it even when plenty warm. starts right up with choke full out, will run for a second with half choke then dies, and wont start at all with no choke. tried messing with the idle adjustment screw, no change...

also there is no throttle response, dies instantly if i try to give it any throttle

any ideas whats going on here?

Dirt or water in the carb. Remove it, take the float bowl off, remove the jets and blow them and the carbs passages out with compressed air, re-assemble. If there was water in it you could get some more coming from the tank, so you may need to repeat, or clean the tank out.
