2007 grizz 700 help
Have a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 700, love it. Best quad ive ever owned until lately. Probably due to all the snow ive pushed in it this winter up here in Ontario the fan blew. No big deal. Replaced the fuse and just today replaced the fan... BTW i will be making a thread on the fan my local shop gave me (complete bs to install had to basically make my own brackets) but anyways. Yeah replaced the fan and took it for a little drive around the property and realzied it started puttering and stalling and the fan didn't kick. Relay? Thermostat? Ive read alot about a thermoswitch? Possiblilty I dont know much about the EFI im only 18 and have only owned carb toys (why my polaris indy 650 EFI is still broken from winter) hahahaha any help would be appreciated!

You may want to read this post. 07 700 grizzly fan not coming on !! - Yamaha Grizzly ATV Forum this guy solved it turned out to be a relay at the rear of the ATV.
Here is a way to test the relay. http://grizzlyriders.com/forums/griz...tor-relay.html aprerantly there a 3 of them (all the same) but the front one works the fan , just hook up to one of the other two relays to see if the fan comes on.
This relay is located on the far right bank of the bike while sitting on it, there are 3 relays in a row and it is the one closes to the front of the bike. This is DEF the one that activates the fan, also while doing some research someone posted that a 2000 Toyota corolla is the same relay but i'm not 100% certain on that yet.
Besides thats the one of those 3 on the rights side of the POD.
All of them are the same at least at 2007.

Then try to swap it, just to see if it is actually the relay.
I had a situation where mine (relay fan) got stuck. Anyway I checked if the coil in it it's working by hooking it up directly to battery and that brought him back on track, I guess

Not sure about the 3 relays being the same though, here they are #39 #40 and #42 but they are not the same price. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse #41 is just a holder it seems worth $2.50.
Seems like #40 is your fan guy. If the above post are right.
