New to yamaha
Im new to yamaha and 4 wheelers in general. I have collected honda atc 3 wheelers for years so my new 96 warrior seems to have 1 extra wheel then im used too.
96 warrior 350. everything has either been totaly rebuilt, replaced or restored. Im loving it so far but have a few things that would make it better for me.
Im a larger guy and the rear end sits to low when i sit on. I need to ugprade the rear shock to something that is heavier and stiffer.
Next i know its a sport quad but would really like a bit more ground clearance. I got hung up on a hill 250ft up and realized it would be safer if i had a little more ground clearance
thanks everyone and thanks for adding me to the forum

I think you may be able to get a Banshee shock to work, but it is still 80's tech. Not sure if your shock is rebuild able. If it is, fresh gas/oil and a heavier spring would be a nice upgrade.
As for ground clearance your best bet is taller tires if you can stomach the gearing and handling changes. Also I highly recommend these: PRM-ATV Aluminum Bumpers, Skid Plates, Grab Bars, Six Pack Cooler Racks, Cargo Racks, Nerf Bars, and Heel Guards - YAMAHA WARRIOR YFM350 Z-PLATE SWINGARM SKID GUARD
I have switched to a different style skid, but keep a prm around still. They are tough and while I don't actively look to bottom out on the skid, I don't worry about prm letting me down. A little momentum and you slide over most trail junk. Go for the thickest aluminum they sell if you are an aggressive rider. The .250 is ALMOST indestructible.

I run this type now. Better ground clearance but no shock protection. There is a half skid for the rotor as well. I don't think you will find these for the Warrior though.
