Default Looking for a banshee around 1500$

Hello everyone! I just found this website and think its great. I have a few questions. Can I get a good banshee for around 1500$ more or less, something that runs good and I can work on? I mostly ride at the dunes. My dad and I have a a little experience with working on cars, would I be able to teach myself to work on a 2 stroke? Fill free to message me. Thanks for the help!

IMO, It would be very unlikely to find a "good" Banshee for $1500. You might get lucky tho....

If you find a Banshee for $1500, it most likely will need some work. Even one that does run ok will need a lot more maintenance than a 4 stroke like a Raptor 660. 2 strokes just aren't as reliable as 4 strokes. You might be better off getting a Raptor. I have seen them in good running condition locally in the $2000-$2500 price range, something like this one 2004 Yamaha Raptor 660. A yfz 450 will cost slightly more but would be a good choice also. Better suspension than the Raptor or Banshee and I would think more than sufficient power for most anyone, especially in power robbing sand.
