hi ...anyone out here can help with tips on pulling flywheel on a yamaha 2007 250 big bear ? i have a puller but the bolts were not long enough
so i got got 4.5" bolts m8 x 1.25 thread x 3 , but bolts are too short still
i looked up the yamaha part numbers from the service manual and they give me these universal type pullers ,, the bolts need to be long on these and
also metric ,,if reasonable enough i would buy a puller for it but there are no threads on the flywheel to thread a puller and seems to need the 3 hole type ,but bolts do not look long enough on the ones i have seen
am trying to repair the starter clutch and associated parts ...any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated

 

Sometimes I have had to buy threaded rod or threaded studs then add nuts to make my own bolts at what ever length I need.
