Default Bear Tracker 250

SO after my other thread asking if I could hotwire the bike thread, I found the key, I also finished assembling the rest of the bike(bought a new bottom end since all the bolts were stripped and transmission was destroyed), now my problem is I'm getting no spark on it, however the bottom end is off a 2002, the rest of the bike IS 2001, I had to cut the stator adapter plug off the old bottom end since the newer bottom end had a round adapter that wouldn't fit the bike, so I spliced the wires back, but nothing.

Could I have gotten a bad stator you think with the new bottom end or do you think the wiring isnt compatable with the 2001 and 2002?

I'm thinking im gonna literally beat the old case apart and grind apart to get at the old stator since I know for sure it worked and install it and see what happens, but before I do that anything else I should try? I know the coil is good aswell.

Sorry the bike is a 2000, the bottom end is a 2001, I noticed browsing ebay that the stators are only 99-00 compatable, so right now it has a 2001 bottom end and stator in it but everything else is 2000, I'm hoping the old working stator in my old 2000 bottom end will bolt into the 2001 bottom end, and in theory it SHOULD work then right? since everything electrical wise would be 2000 again

but if it doesn't bolt in I think im in for a expensive ride buying new 2001 electricals ie; CDI, rectifiers etc
