Solenoid stuck, fit a new one, and check your battery. Although it will start a bike OK, a battery with a dead cell seems to slow the solenoid down enough for the contacts to arc, and weld themselves together.

Default Thanks

Where is solenoid located on bike?
I'm thinking the battery has a dead cell bc everytime I go to start it I have to jump it with jump box

I don't know on a Raptor as I only work on utility quads. Follow the main live battery lead, it is on the end of it. Most Yams have a solenoid that has to go the right way round, if it has a fuse on it, there will be a B stamped next to the post that goes to the battery lead and an M next to the post that has to fit to the starter motor lead. Also, buy a new battery.
