Timberwolf
#1
I have a 97 Timberwolf 2WD that I bought in April of 1997. It's the first ATV that I have owned and I must say for a small 250 utility quad it is very nimble. It has been a very reliable quad for me thus far capable of doing most anything I throw at it from deep muddy swamps to steep rocky pipeline hills. The only real complaint that I have would have to be the brakes. They are just horrible. The drum brakes just don't cut it. They fill up with mud and water and just ruin the brake shoes. Other than that it's a great quad. Does Anyone else own a Timberwolf? What's your opinion's and experiences with the quad?

I just sold my 96 2 months ago and got a 2000 Beartracker. Well, I agree, the brakes are the worst you will EVER see. It was a good machine, had a few simple mods in it. But I didn't like how it would 3 wheel when pushing its limits in a turn (its did it even with 23 Holeshots up front and 22 F.Trekkers rear). Aside from the brakes, it was super reliable and extremely easy to maintain. It was fun, but it couldn't jump too good and the shifting was notchy at times. But it did turn tighter and was a tad nimbler than the new Tracker I have now.
