A new affordable means of going electric.

It looks like consumers are about to have an affordable electric UTV option coming to market next month. American Landmaster has announced release of their new lithium-powered side-by-side called the Landmaster EV with first shipments scheduled arrive in May of this year.

The new model is built upon the proven chassis as their flagship L7 model UTV, including use of their Landmaster Ride Optimized Suspension System. The standard suspension system is good for 500lbs of bed capacity, while the HD package ups that to 700lbs. However, the goal of the new package is to offer the smoothest operation experience possible.

“We are combining the smooth ride of the L-ROSS suspension system, the powerful torque of an AC motor, and cleanly packaged 48V lithium ion battery cell, allowing the all new American Landmaster EV machine to quietly maneuver over
different terrain. The L-ROSS suspension system moves swiftly over ridges, rocks, logs, & other rough terrain. Even while traveling at higher speeds over these obstacles, the ride quality is top of the line,” States Jordan Miller, American Landmaster Lead Engineer.

American Landmaster boasts being the first OEM to offer this cutting edge technology (AC motor, powered by a single 105AH lithium battery pack) to so affordable a price point. The secret? Partnering with two of the industry’s most reliable leaders in lithium technology and AC motors. The end result is a new EV designed to provide consumers with an electric side-by-side that is longer-lasting, maintenance-free, heavy duty and fun for the whole family.

Each battery comes equipped with a rapid-charge feature, allowing the user to achieve up to 80% charge in as little as two hours time. The dash is also equipped with a true state-of-charge LED meter, providing the operator a precise level of battery life. An audible low-battery alert activates when below 10% to keep concerns of conking out in the middle of nowhere in check.

As for pricing, the Landmaster EV’s MSRP starts at $10,999 while thethe extended-range version comes in at $12,299. As with all Landmasters, the option to configure your own EV is a matter of point and click excitement on their official site: AmericanLandmaster.com
