And the final round of the 2024 GNCC season is in the books.

The Season Finale of the 2024 Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC Racing) Series, presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship, started off the weekend at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, with ATV Racing throughout the day on Saturday.

As the XC1 Pro took off the line Saturday afternoon it was Action Off-Road/Maxxis/Fly Racing/Lonestar’s Austin Abney grabbing the Kanati Tires XC1 Holeshot Award and would head into the woods first. However, the number three machine of Richardson Racing’s Cole Richardson would hold the lead for the first two laps of the race.

As time continued on though it would be Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Brycen Neal making the necessary moves through the pack to get himself into a good position to earn his third-straight championship. Neal would move into the lead on lap three and take the checkered flag as he came through on the next lap still holding onto the number one position. That win would secure Neal’s third-straight GNCC ATV National Championship.

Richardson Racing’s Cole Richardson would hold onto second overall on the day, and rounding out the top three finishers at the final race of the season was Action Off-Road/GBC/Houser’s Wyatt Wilkin. Wilkin would make the move into the podium position after battling at the back of the pack for the first half of the race.

BulletProof Doorz/Kenda Tires/Senge Graphic’s Ronnie Rusch would battle towards the front of the group for the duration of the race as he came through in third on the opening lap. Rusch would come through to finish fourth on the day. BNR Motorsports/Fearless Racing/Kenda’s Steven Harrell came through to round out the top five finishers overall.

Hunter Hart Racing/Fly Racing/Ithaca Recreation Sport’s Hunter Hart would battle back and forth, coming through to take sixth overall on the day at Ironman, while Action Off-Road/GBC/BNR Motorsports’ Joshua Merritt finished the day off in seventh overall.

Unfortunately for WFR/GBC/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Walker Fowler, after a bad start, would be unable to make up the necessary positions to battle for the championship. Fowler would climb his way back up to eighth overall after a hard day in Indiana. McGill Mafia/OBOR Tires/Moose Racing’s Adam McGill and Phoenix Racing Yamaha/Action Off-Road’s John Glauda Jr. would finish ninth and tenth overall.

In the XC2 Pro Am class it was BNR Motorsports/Pierce Performance/GBC Tires’ Alex Thieman coming through to earn the class win and clinch the XC2 ATV National Championship after a season full of battles.

Moose Racing/GBC/Senge Graphic’s Logan Steele would come through to take second in his first XC2 class race. CST Tires/LMR Motors/Elka/Fly Racing’s Braxton Grosse would grab the BNR Motorsports XC2 Holeshot Award and hold on to finish third in the class. As Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Grayson Eller came through in fourth, it would not be enough to take the championship this season. To round out the top five in XC2, Hilltop Motorsports/Precision Trenching/Action Off-Road’s Daulton Keyes would come through behind Eller.

Earning the Top Amateur honors was College A (16-18) winner, Cole Lykins, as he came through 20th overall. Talan Stout would come through 21st to earn a second place position on the Top Amateur podium. Rounding out the Top Amateur podium was College A racer, Andre Williams, as he was 22nd overall on the day.

In the morning race, Bryce Pullen would come through to take the overall win from the 250 All Star class. In the 4×4 Pro class it was Pro Row 784/TMS/Edgewood/DeRisi’s Brandon Frazier coming through to take the win and earn himself the 4×4 Pro National Championship, while KMK Off-Road/OBOR/FXR’s Kaden Wharff, who grabbed the BNR Motorsports holeshot award, earned second in the class and third overall. SBR/Action Off-Road/HMF’s Haedyn Mickelson would battle back to earn third on the day in the 4×4 Pro class.

In the WXC class it was Osburn Off-Road/Pierce Performance/Moose Racing’s Chloe Harper coming through to take the class win to end the year, while Elioff Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC Tire’s Jessica Elioff came through in second and Kenda/Moose Racing/Teixeira Tech’s Hannah Hunter rounded out the top three WXC finishers.
