Polaris CEO Extends Deadline for Challenge

By: Press Release

On October 9, Polaris CEO Tom Tiller challenged the CEOs of the other major ATV manufacturers to a live, head-to-head competition. “The Duel,” was to “settle, once-and-for-all, who really has the toughest ATVs.” Due to the lack of response from some of the other manufacturers’ CEOs, Tiller has extended the deadline of his challenge to October 24.

“I’ve extended the deadline to give the CEOs every opportunity to accept my challenge,” said Tiller. “I’m ready to back my company’s claim of building ‘The World’s Toughest ATVs’ and hope those who make similar claims will do the same.”

Along with extending the deadline, Tiller has sweetened the pot in order to further entice the CEOs to accept his challenge. Polaris will award ,000, through their T.R.A.I.L.S grant program, to the non-profit ATV organization of the winner’s choice. The grant will be made in the winning CEO’s company’s name.

ATV manufacturers Honda, Arctic Cat, BRP, Kawasaki and Suzuki CEOs now have until October 24 to take Tiller up on his challenge. Yamaha officially declined before the extension. If the other CEOs accept, “The Duel” will take place at the Orleans Arena, in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 16.
