Ask The Editors: What is the Smallest Helmet Cam on the Market?

Dear ATVC: Your helmet cam buyer’s guide was very useful but failed to answer the one criteria I’ve been looking for. What is the smallest/ lightest POV cam on the market? Every one I’ve tried out seemed too bulky for me to forget I had it on. LTRHead4Life

At the time of this article’s writing, that distinction belongs to the Replay XD 1080 HD Mini. They claim that they’ve managed to pack 1080p full HD video and high resolution photos along with some of the most regarded XD1080 features into the smallest and lightest HD camera on the market.

Coming in at 0.9 inches by 3.3 inches (24mm x 85mm) and a weight of 2.1 ounces, indeed it seems they have been taking form factor into serious consideration.

Of course that’s still not so small as to be completely forgotten about while riding. Perhaps you’ll want to look into the Torque HD video goggle from Liquid Image; which is literally a camera built into the frame of a pair of off-road goggles above the eyes to capture 12.0 MP photos and Full HD 1080P videos hands-free while shredding.
