Honda ATC 200E Big Red 9" wheel size replacement
It would still be several more years before the 12″ wheel would make its way off-road.

Dear ATVC: I need a 12 inch rim for my 83 Honda 200e Big Red without having to use adapter or removing stock hub. PLEASE HELP!!!

Well, for starers are you positive you need a 12″ wheel? The OEM spec for all 3 of the wheels for both 1982 and 1983 Big Reds was 9″ (9.2 x 9.0 specifically).

We suspect the confusion may lie in the fact that the tires (and wheels) will be stamped 25 x 12 – 9 but the 12 in this case indicates the width of the tire, not the diameter of the wheel.

That being said, a brief scan of eBay reveals many stock wheels still available for a wide variety of prices and conditions.

Sites like Cycles R Us also have them in stock and ready to ship like this example here.

If you indeed somehow managed to wedge a 12″ wheel onto your machine, there is no OEM equivalent. In that case you would have to adapt a modern ATV wheel to fit as 9″ was already on the large side of what was available for 3-wheelers.
