Ask the Editors: Kazuma’s Japanese Equivalent

Does this have a Japanese cousin?
The answer to this question depends heavily upon the model in question. While it is true most Chinese-made ATVs are based upon expired patents of Japanese deign, this is especially true of the small bore engines (most of which are clones of early air-cooled Honda 125cc mills).
Since you said “UTV” rather than ATV in your question, we’re lead to suspect you are talking about the larger and more complex Kazuma models such as their Mammoth 800cc liquid cooled, 3-cylinder Side-by-Side.
That 796cc engine is actually manufactured by Suzuki and powers both Kazuma’s SxSs as well as some of Roketa’s high end karts. OEM Suzuki parts are of course interchangeable here.

Otherwise, your best bet when trying to piecemeal components from other brands would be limited to universal-wear items such as batteries, brakes, tires etc. as there is not a direct model equivalency from another brand.
