Yamaha Grizzly 700 lighting options
People have been lighting the Grizzly up for years. This can be a good thing.

Dear ATVC: Hello. I have a Grizzly 700, using it as my snowplow for the winter and the headlights get blocked by the plow, wondering if anybody can suggest a light bar or another solution for plowing when it’s dark (go ahead with the puns as well). Thanks!

First the good news – you have options! Many, many good ones, in fact. The bad news? Well, you almost have too many options.

At the top of the pile is the OEM light bar kit (20″) Yamaha produces specifically for your machine. Part # BG4-H4104-V0-00. It comes with all of the mounting and electrical connections necessary but like anything OEM, expect to pay to play. It goes for around $700 but we found it for a bit less here.

On the other end of the spectrum we’ve had success running generic LED light bars like this $99 unit here. Often times you’re left doing a bit more creative mounting with these but for 1/7th the price, sometimes it’s worth the extra work.

And truthfully, there are decent quality bars for the Grizzly at just about every price point in between these two extremes. Like we said before, you have options.

And if you are in the market for yellow LEDs, somehow we’ve seen complete 7″ bars with a pair of satellite pods on eBay with mounting hardware and electrical for an impossibly cheap $32.99/ free shipping. We can’t vouch for the durability of these units but for that price, we might just take our chances.
