Ask The Editors: Who Makes ARGO’s ATVs?
ARGO saw a gap in the market: No 2Ups coming out of Japan.
While we’ve never had the opportunity to test one of ARGO’s machines to speak confidently on long term reliability, we can put your mind at ease about the manufacturing and design of the quads.
This is one of those interesting situations where the ATVs were designed, spec’ed out and developed by ARGO, but in effort to keep the costs down for the finished product, they had the mass production occur via an existing Taiwanese manufacturing facility.
Boasting ISO9001 and TS16949 certifications, TGB prides itself on offering equipment of the highest possible standard – in fact the ARGOs meet SVIA, EPA, CARB and DOT requirements.
ARGO’s Xplorer 500 ATVs are all powered by a 503cc, 39 hp, electronic fuel injected engine. And each ATV in the ARGO lineup includes: double A-arm front and rear suspension, a 165-pound-capacity steel rack on the back and a 99-pound-capacity steel rack on the front, an anti-vibration 2-inch receiver hitch, differential lock and a digital display.
