Dear ATVC: I just got an 07 Yamaha YFZ 450 SE and it has extended A-arms (which makes it lower). I was wondering if TRX A-arms would fit or what site go I go to to get stock A-arms? XxS0ccerstarxX

First off, unfortunately stock Honda TRX450R A-arms are not compatible with the Yamaha YFZ units. In fact, YFZ450 A-arms don’t even share compatibility with their own stablemates (so that rules out searching for cheap Banshee, Raptor stock arms etc.)
Assembly
Most riders consider extended A-arms to be a useful modification, adding to the stability of the machine without sacrificing suspension travel but if you are positive reverting to stock is the way to go for you, you can purchase OEM A-arms from any official Yamaha parts supplier like this one. Unfortunately, these assemblies from the factory are not cheap. Expect to pay around $250 for each of the upper A-arm assemblies and $207 for each bottom. If you take a look at the above schematic, it becomes clear that the actual A-arm assemblies are but a small fraction of the parts that make up the stock front end.

A much more affordable alternative would be to hit up eBay and to look for auctions for the complete stock assemblies. We found one here for $185 for both complete A-arms, all of the necessary hardware and free shipping.
