Records being broken.

Memorial Day weekend typically marks the beginning of the riding season and this year records were being broken in a SxS.

Semi-paralyzed extreme athlete Tanner Godfrey made history by jumping a Polaris RZR XP Turbo S over 240-feet on live television. The Memorial Day jump was part of the two-hour season finale of Discovery Channels’ hit show the Diesel Brothers, that featured multiple gravity-defying stunts.

Godfrey reclaimed the world record for the longest jump ever made in a SXS UTV with the final measurement of 247-feet. The event honored men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and military families at the historic decommissioned military base, Wendover Airfield.

Godfrey, nephew of renowned Nitro Circus Star Gregg Godfrey, was semi-paralyzed after taking a hit over the handlebars in a race in 2007. Today Godfrey’s mobility is not fully restored, but he walks with canes and says, “I can fly better than I walk.”
