Honda Talon Returns For 2026

Bigger meats to come standard on certain Talon 1000s this year.

American Honda confirmed the return of its Talon sport side-by-side lineup for the 2026 model year, offering six purpose-built configurations across two-seat and four-seat platforms. The Talon family continues to target everyone from weekend trail riders to serious enthusiasts, with a driver-focused approach to performance and durability.

For 2026, Honda is splitting tire sizing by mission: the two “R” trim levels now come factory-equipped with 30-inch tires to increase ground clearance and improve obstacle-rolling capability in rough terrain, while the four nimble “X” versions continue with 28-inch tires to prioritize agility and precision on tighter trails. From wooded two-track to wide-open backcountry, the lineup is aimed at giving riders a Talon that matches their terrain and driving style.

TALON 1000 TWO-SEATERS

Honda’s 2026 two-seat Talon 1000 lineup stays focused on purpose-built performance, with options aimed at everything from tight woods to faster, rougher terrain. The range includes the agile Talon 1000X in standard Showa form and Talon 1000X FOX Live Valve, plus the wider, longer-travel Talon 1000R FOX Live Valve, which gains 30-inch tires for 2026 to help with ground clearance and rolling through bigger obstacles.

On the four-seat side, Honda keeps the same do-it-all theme—mixing performance, comfort and versatility for both tight, technical trails and faster terrain. The lineup includes the Talon 1000X-4 in standard and FOX Live Valve versions, plus the wider Talon 1000R-4 FOX Live Valve, which also moves to 30-inch tires for 2026 to boost ground clearance and improve larger-obstacle capability. Honda notes the Talon’s proven 999cc engine, thoughtful cabin design, and its reputation for durability, reliability and quality as the foundation for family-and-friends adventures.
