undefinedGreat weather + Lots of racers = Great Racing, this was the formula for this past weekend’s second round of racing in the Indiana XC Racing series. With the temperature in the mid 70’s racers got to enjoy a fairly dry and very fast course. As always the Pro Class put on show by setting a blistering pace and battling to the last few seconds and turns. Winning his first IXCR race of the season, Todd Demaree was all smiles after the race. Trading spots with Todd from round 1, Brent Howell finished second just in front of a very fast Nate Beyers. With a second win in a row, “A” class racers are trying to figure out how to catch and pass Craig Bowman.

During all the excitement of racing was a very scary moment. Senior bike racer Richard Sides from Munice, Indiana was injured on his first lap of the race. Richard suffered a broken leg and had to be taken to University of Cincinnati hospital where he had surgery Monday morning. Doctors say the surgery went very well. The entire staff of IXCR would like to send out their well wishes and prayers to Richard and his family on a speedy recovery. Anybody wanting to send thoughts or prayers to Richard are asked to send them to and we will forward them to him and his family. info@ixcracing.com

Round 3 of the series is May 20th which will be extra special with the youth classes racing also. Youth racers will include some national racers like Matthew Harris from Hamilton, Ohio. Be sure to bring the family out for some fun and exciting racing.
