Back in May when the manufacturers were releasing their 2011 model lineups, many insiders and fans alike were fairly surprised to note that Kawasaki hadn’t followed suit of the other major manufacturers by not including a power-steering equipped ATV to the fold.

Of course this isn’t to suggest that power steering hasn’t been possible, but unlike Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Polaris, and Arctic Cat, until now Kawasaki devotees have been limited to aftermarket kits from companies like ATR Power Sports for the Teryx and Mule.

The good news is, and in typical Kawasaki fashion, it appears as though here in the proverbial 11th hour, changes to the model line are in the air. This time it looks like Electric Power Steering (EPS) is finally becoming a stock option.

Sources in the industry are abuzz with the latest rumor that Kawasaki will indeed be offering an EPS-equipped ATV for 2011. Unfortunately the question that remains is which model(s) are in consideration?

The most natural fit would be the flagship Brute Force 750 4×4i fuel injected V-Twin. Of course it is also entirely possible Kawasaki will opt to equip multiple ATVs with the technology so any further discussions are the domain of speculation.

Kawasaki has made it a habit to wait until late in the model year to make radical changes and surprise announcements to their lines and these rumors of a stock EPS-equipped ATV for 2011 can be traced right back to the company itself.
