What’s JD cooking up for 2019?

When we think of side-by-sides often the first brands that come to mind are Yamaha, Can-Am, Polaris. And while there is no denying their dominance of the sector, the popularity of the vehicles is such that it has allowed for some unlikely brands to show off their stuff.

John Deere has been making off-road transporters since 1987; their first official Gator coming on the scene in 1992.

These days their line has evolved into a versatile example of UTV awesomeness. Let’s take a closer look:

John Deere RSX860

The sporty RSX860 comes in three trims; the I, E & M. Each is powered by a 62-horse V-twin with electronic fuel injection. A CV-style transmission puts the power to the soil. The RSX860M model comes with standard (EPS) electronic power steering.

The 560 may be the smallest offering on the line but don’t let that fool you; the displacement (like the MSRP) is only the starting point. You can opt for an engine package as large as 839cc. No matter which you choose, you will get fully independent suspension, 8-inches of travel at each wheel and a bed good for 500-pounds of nasty. That’s the XUV590M Special Edition photographed at the top of this article (MSRP of $14,999).
