MX Sports Pro Racing and the ATVPG announced today that Mountain Dew, the number one flavored carbonated soft drink in the U.S., will return as title sponsor for this year’s Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship, sanctioned by AMA (ATVMX). Beginning on March 22-23, the world’s longest-running and most prestigious ATV racing series will visit some of the most well known motocross tracks in the country over the course of a nine-round schedule that will ultimately crown a national champion.

One year after partnering with ATVMX as its title sponsor, Mtn. Dew returns to provide the championship with the support of one of the world’s most recognizable brands. Avid ATVMX enthusiast and current team owner Rich Gillette has served as an ambassador for the Mtn. Dew and ATVMX relationship, supporting not only the series but also its incredible athletes. Gillette’s roots with Mtn. Dew run deep with his grandfather’s involvement since its inception. Gillette’s father also passionately supported the brand from the beginning, making his way through the local communities distributing the new product for free to help spread the word.

“The strong ties my family has with Mtn. Dew and the entire PepsiCo organization provides the ideal platform to bring great support and global recognition to the ATV Motocross National Championship,” said Gillette. “I myself have been a longtime fan of ATV motocross and for the last seven years I have been immersed in the sport by sponsoring riders and creating my own race team. ATV motocross is one of this country’s hidden gems of sports and with the continued support of Mtn. Dew, the championship will continue to grow.”

As part of its sponsorship initiatives for the 2014 season, Mtn. Dew will establish a community outreach program in association with ATVMX in each of the nine respective markets the championship will visit. With the help of local PepsiCo distributors, ATVMX’s presence within each community will increase through creative marketing and advertising campaigns intended to engage the community and generate interest for the world-class championship.

Assisting with the community outreach as well as the overall marketing and public relations efforts is Next Level Sports Management, based out of Capistrano Beach, Calif. A longtime partner of MX Sports Pro Racing through the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, Next Level brings over 20 years of motocross experience to ATVMX. From local, national, and endemic media outreach and publicity, to creative marketing strategies, advertising, and social media initiatives, Next Level’s influence and expertise will be felt through every facet of the championship.

“The 2014 season will be a landmark year for the ATV Motocross National Championship and enlisting the services of Next Level is sure to bring an added boost to the overall breadth of the series, whether it be at the races or in the media,” said Sam Gammon, Director of the ATVPG. “With the support of Mtn. Dew and the efforts of Next Level, this season is shaping up to be one of the most memorable in history, and we haven’t even begun to talk about the level of competition on tap for this season.”
