Eton xcl 150 won't crank
Installed fully charged new battery, won't crank. Locked parking brake on the right, xmission in neutral, kill switch is on, no click or crank. Anything else i need to do? Sorry, that's a cxl.

If the solenoid isn't clicking you either have a faulty solenoid or power isn't getting to it through the thin wires. There should be a main fuse, check that first, then check if you get power to those thin wires, ignition on, wire a lamp or meter between the wires, press start button, lamp should light brightly, if it does, you have a faulty solenoid, if it doesn't, check which wire isn't getting a feed from battery, with button pressed, one should be live the other earthed, note that on some systems the live goes through the start button, on some systems the earth does. Then trace the faulty wire back. Safety lock-outs are often the problem, could be a faulty parking brake or neutral switch.

Thanks for the reply. Turns out, the manual doesn't tell you to hold the left brake handle for the rear brakes and the stop light, in order to allow cranking. Got it running with starting fluid only. Pulled carb and diaphram needle was stuck in place with varnish. Cleaned it up, including jets, and it runs but will not idle. There are 2 hoses on left side that I don't know where they go. It is acting like it has a vacuum leak. Accelerates ok. When I can keep it running enough to get it in gear without stalling. Any ideas where I can find info on hoses?
