Coolster won't start, just backfires
 

First tank of gas on this thing and we have some problems.

I tried to start this thing the other day and it wouldn't go. Got to looking around and the fuel line had rotted and broke away. The machine lost all fuel.

I put a new fuel line on it, filled up with gas, and it still won't start.

I have gas in the carb, if I open the screw on the bottom fuel poors out.

I cleaned the plug.

It has fire.

Tried squirting either thorught he back of the carb.

I've only heard this thing run briefly for maybe 1 second with lots and lots of cranking. Typically it's nothing, nothing, nothing, KER POW backfire, nothing, nothing, nothing.

Sounds like it might be out of time? Where do I start?

It's still hard to start, just learning the combination I guess.
It seems to start best if I don't touch the gas at all.

Glad to hear youve got it running.... hard starting is a sign of valves needing adjustment. Are you still using the stock spark plug? A NGK C7HSA would be a good replacement..
