SUNL 70 won't start need help please
 

ok so my sons SUNL 70 has ran good for quite some time, then it sat up for a while, when i pulled it outicharged the battery put fresh gas in it, checked the plug to verify spark, everything is perfect, except it refuses to start, i ran the battery dead trying with no results, it ha a remote killswitch, a two positin on off handlebar switch and a teather killswitch, i'm not very mechaniclly adept, but i am an electrician, i read a few posts about the coil and other things, but i'm not sure how to locate these items to test them, any ideas on what may be causing it to not start? please hel me my seven year old, five year old, and three year old are driving me crazy to get it running

Your carb is gummed up from sitting.. Its needs to be removed and cleaned.

well i tore apart the carb, cleaned it up real nice with carb cleaner, the only thing i didn't do was mess with the two screws on the inside, still not starting i'm curious to know, does it have points? :huh:

The 2 screws on the inside are the jets... The one in the middle is the main jet and the one off to the side is the pilot jet... Both need to be removed and so does the main jet holder... Both the pilot jet and the main jet holder have little holes in the side that need to be clear.. And you need to spray carb cleaner thru the holes under the jets... especially the pilot jet hole... The fuel screw needs to be removed for the cleaning also...

This is kinda to very intimidating the first time

No it doesnt have points...it has a CDI (capacitor discharge ignition)

ok thnks alot, i'll give it a try, hopefully that will solve the problem, also, i noticed beside the idle set screw, there is a small flathead screw, i'm guessing ths is the fuel regulator screw? also there is a screw on the opposite side that is identical but in a lower positin on the carb, when i turned it originally it dumped the fuel fro the carb, can you give me an approximate on where these screws along with the idle screw should be set?

also on the pilot and jet screws, should the holes in the center go all the way through or is it supposed to be solid? the reason i ask is b/c i am using a wire brush and air hose to clean them and i cant get the brush or air to go strait threw though i did manage to remove some debris from the tiny holes in the lower side
