I bought my grandson a 2007 Marshin 250 for Christmas. After a few days of riding the right rear wheel began slipping. The wheel hub is also the rear drum brake drum, and is splined to the axle. The splines in the drum/hub are stripped. Does anyone know a fix? Where can I get the part, or a similar part that I can make work? Where can I get a splined sleeve to bore into the old brake drum? Is there a brand of rear axle that can be adapted that has a better design.
Thankfully I didn't spend a fortune for this machine, but it is otherwise in great shape and I can't see just tossing it.
Any viable options would be appreciated.

I have searched everywhere I know online and haven't found the part. I went to a local cycle / ATV repair shop and they searched all their known sites and finally the owner told me he was unable to find the last requested Marshin part as well.. No help. I'm now looking for a local machine shop with the capability to broach that spline so I can have them make a new hub. Like I said, if I could find the 'knock off' model, I might could get a name brand and try it.
I'm willing to put some money into this machine to get it use-able, but not more than I have to.
