i just bought this atv about 2 weeks ago and now the tranny slips out of gear can someone help me. i took off the side of the engine where the gear shifter is hoping that was the tranny, looked inside and didnt see any damage?! someone come to my aid!!! thanks

i had to send my engine back to Maxtrade and wait for it for 2 weeks!! i put it back on my quad started it up and it had an awful clunk sound sooooo the next day i sent it back. they had it for 3 days i called every day to see what they were going to do to it or if they had found the problem. the second day i call Andrew and he told me i was calling to much and that he would delay my engine on purpose. on the third day john the mechanic called me and said the engine had be tossed around by UPS and they destroyed it. so it took them three days to tell me that it was badly damaged, after he told me he took it out of the box and put it on the work bench. why does it take three days to see that its F.U.B.A.R. so at the end if that day mike called me from maxtrade and told me that they were going to send me a brand new engine but that it wouldnt go out that day cause they gotta drain the oil out of it!!! now instead of getting it before the weekend i gotta wait the entire weekend!!! but at least after waiting a month + its finally getting resolved. and it better not be a rebuilt engine ethire.

 

wow, you just gotta love the excuses. i've never had UPS "destroy" a package. the engines should be crated with a cardboard box around them. hmmm. if that was the case, UPS would've claimed insurance on a destroyed package. wow, excuses, excuses. well, the main thing is you're getting it back running.
that's pretty crappy to threaten you with delaying a repair. the BBB ought to hear about that one. you have the right to check up on the repair process.

 

Maxtrade double boxes their engines with lots of packing material in each box. No crates. The last engine I had "repaired" came back running stronger than new. There mechanic is pretty good.

 

finally got my new engine, it was boxed up better this time but looked like a child did it. they forgot to send me the exhaust gasket and 4 bolts. but besides the exhaust leak it runs great. I was out riding it on some trails to try out the new engine and my handlebars broke off of the steering column, right where the welds were. i noticed the getting lose went to pull off the road thats when they completely broke and i crashed into a bush . whats gonna happen next?
