HELP! My brand new Kandi 150GKD-2 won't start!

Hi all,

My dad just bought me and my husband a lovely new Kandi. They put it together and the ignition turns, but it won't start. Online I saw that the battery needs to be charged and sure enough the Kandi comes with a battery charger. Problem is that we can't find any information on where or how to charge the darn battery! This vehicle is adorable but it came with the worst instruction manual of all time. It's a miracle my dad and his friend were able to put it together.

Here's a link that shows several different sides of the vehicle: http://www.kandiusa.com/products/150cc-UTV-%28KD%252d150GKD%252d2%29,-wholesale-to-dealers-only.html

I would appreciate any help you can give us!

Thanks,
Susanita

Does the battery charger have spring loaded clips on the end of the wires? If so then all you need to do is find the battery and connect red to the the positive battery terminal, and black to the minus battery terminal. The charger will throttle back automatically when the battery is charged.

As far as not starting, make sure any kill switches are set to the "run" position before attempting to start. All quads have a kill switch on the left handlebar in addition to the ignition switch. On your utv I don't know what other kill switches their may be.

Also make sure the gas petcock valve is turned on.

Before riding this thing I would go through the entire chassis and make sure the castle nuts and cotter pins are intact and installed right. Bolts and nuts without cotter pins should be secured with loctite 242 (the blue stuff) to keep them from coming loose and falling off.
