i'd be glad to help, but i do not see any pics of your quad. you may not have enough posts written to post pics. if you can't post pics yet, go to your profile page, make an album of your quad and we can go there to look at it to help you out. you may look for a metal ID tag on the front or rear grab handle area. look for the VIN on the lower left hand frame rail facing the ground. that can help also. some chinese manufacturers may put a plastic sticker on the downtube from the handlebars for ID purposes. just a few places to look though. OH yeah, also, look under the seat. they hide in there also.

is there a cast stamp on the base of the cylinder that states the size? like 249cm3 for a 250cc or a 498cm3 for a 500cc?

not where I've found anyway. it works well in the engine goes on after a few hours of screwing. but they feel like 500cc. 4wd 2 circuit braking system. brake servo. front discs. drum rear. rigid rear axle.

it's similiar to this new Odes 4x4. of course i realize your quad is older. but it does look like a clone of the yamaha big bear 250-350cc.

BUT, it could also be a Roketa 250cc or a Kazuma Cougar 250cc. unsure right now. but please look for the 17 digit alpha-numeric VIN on the frame. that'll tell us a lot including the year model.
